What a desk is How to read this page

A way in, not an owner of facts

Desks organise discovery across the AI system. They do not hold their own evidence — every consequential route returns to the same canonical Atlas record, so two desks cannot quietly disagree about a fact.

Pick by the question you hold

The right desk is the one that matches your situation, not the one whose title contains your keyword. The desk index describes when to open each.

Stable on purpose

The eight desks do not change with the news cycle. A taxonomy that reshuffles every quarter cannot be used to follow a change over years.

Desk placement guides discovery. It does not change a claim, its evidence or its confidence. Follow domain routes into the canonical Atlas record.
