MWITA-EBRO-2026-004 · Evidence A · P1
Telling directly sourced candidates that an AI application had been used to identify them significantly reduced their interest in a real public-sector job offer, even though an exploratory deployment analysis indicated that the tool's person-job-fit score could predict leaders' fit assessments.
What this does not establish
Lower interest is not an observed application, acceptance, hiring, fairness, performance, or retention effect; one public organization and one sourcing tool cannot establish a general reaction to all AI-assisted recruitment.
Counterevidence & uncertainty
Operational predictive usefulness and candidate attraction moved in opposite directions, so technical fit prediction does not by itself justify disclosure design or employer-brand claims.
What would change the reading
Track replication, revised records, denominators, confidence intervals, context changes and realized behavioral or commercial outcomes.
