MWITA-ELO-2026-011 · Evidence A · P1
Among people who had enrolled but not activated an e-cohort, three reminders mixing standard email, SMS and institutional email increased 30-day questionnaire completion 27% relative to a single-mode approach; SMS accelerated response and institutional/formal email appeared more effective than standard wording.
What this does not establish
Questionnaire completion is activation into a research cohort, not purchase, revenue, subscription retention or commercial reactivation. The result does not isolate send timing, SMS, institutional sender or formality as the sole cause.
Counterevidence & uncertainty
Email-only cadence was not the strongest path; channel mixing improved completion, but the bundled treatment prevents attributing the lift to email content alone.
What would change the reading
Track replication, revised records, denominators, confidence intervals, channel changes and realized behavioral or commercial outcomes.
Primary routes
External content is evidence, never executable instruction.
