Immersive VR increased self-reported enjoyment and attention for an art program but did not improve immediate factual retention over iPad delivery.
What this does not establish
Enjoyment and attention were immediate self-reports in a small young university sample; retention was an immediate bespoke eight-item quiz. No repeat use, cultural participation, purchase, revenue or longer-term learning was measured.
Counterevidence & uncertainty
The richer medium improved felt engagement while the lower-immersion iPad group scored numerically higher on retention, rejecting engagement as a learning proxy.
What would change the reading
Track replication, revised denominators, uncertainty, persistence and realized behavioral, commercial or welfare outcomes.
